We are proud to have CyberBITS join us on the 3rd floor of Offiss.
CyberBITS helps businesses transform their IT. By following industry standard practices, CyberBITs are able to offer services to increase business efficiency by using the latest and greatest tools available, whilst keeping businesses safe from cyber threats.
CyberBITS was founded in 2019 after a challenging business partnership, with Founder Robert Shaw creating this new business and strengthening relationships with clients. Having installed the IT system for Offiss during the build phase, it has always been an unofficial second home for CyberBITS, who are now thrilled to be part of the Offiss alumni on the 3rd floor.
Robert has some amazing plans for the business going forward, which is his main reasoning behind getting his own office. After having enough of working from home, he is enjoying being part of the great community at Offiss and interacting with like-minded people.
Robert Shaw, Founder of CyberBITS, shares his tips for starting a business.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t be so focussed on a career in IT. It was such a hard slog to get to where I was and would have been much easier to start my own business after 5-10 years of experience. Instead, it took until my late thirties to realise there was a better way to make money!
What is one tip for people starting their own business?
Accept that youwill make mistakes along the way. No business is perfect and will have various challenges to face.
If you could be immortal, what age would you choose to stop aging at and why?
36. No idea why, but my youngest daughter always tells me I’m 36. For me, it's also the age when I finally got myself on the right path in life and started to dabble with extra income streams. My only wish is that I started doing that sooner!
